Essay from September 2026 edition of "Loving Intention Connection"

Because the upcoming week promises to be a busy one, my plan has been to begin putting the newsletter together early. Originally, I thought that I would start this morning and have it out to all of you by this evening. But we all know how those best laid plans go…

This morning threw a few curveballs my way. Happily, they were of the positive variety with the only challenge being that I sat down to do this much later than I intended. “No worries,” I thought, “I already know that I am going to write about that powerful experience I had last week.”

As I scrolled through my photos on my phone, collecting the ones I want to use to illustrate last week’s experience, I received the news that Dolly Parton died today, August 25, 2026, and there’s no way that I can sit here and not acknowledge the passing of this legend.

Please take a moment with me now to celebrate and honor what an iconic legend Dolly has been during this lifetime of hers. She has shown us all what it is to fully embrace our gifts, share those gifts with the world, be authentically ourselves, shine brilliantly and fearlessly regardless of our humble beginnings, and to generously give while being of deeply meaningful service to others. Thank you, Dolly.

Now that she is no longer restrained by human limitations, I know that we have gained a powerful ally on the other side and that she will do all that she can to help us transform this human experience into a brighter, more loving one. What a BBBA we all have now! (Brilliant Big Boobed Angel – don’t worry, I heard her laugh and encourage me to type that even though I didn’t want to. There’s no way that I’m saying no to laughing with Dolly.)

Rest well, Dolly, and happy reunion with your beloved husband of 60 years!
