Hello Hello
Essay from March 2026 Newsletter, "Loving Intention Connection"
My hope is that this finds you well, happy, and on your most brightly lit path. A lot of the pieces of my own personal puzzle have been clicking together in a satisfying way, which leaves me filled with gratitude and humbled by how much truth is in, "Ask and you shall receive."
Over the past few years, I have noticed that there have been themes to the guidance and lessons making themselves known in my life. The first that really stood out to me was in 2022, when the message was, "surrender and trust." Surrender and trust are key to my mediumship and Reiki work, and it seems to me to be a key instruction on how to live this life. This reminder has stuck around for a few years and really seems like an instruction that I would be wise to heed for the remainder of my days, so that's my plan. (If you and I are ever chatting and it becomes clear that I have forgotten this guidance, feel free to remind me.)
On January 1, 2025, I took a walk and heard very clearly, "Your job is to keep your vibration high, your anxiety low, and everything else will flow." Again, powerful instruction! Some days it's easy to remember, and others, not so much because it is so easy to get swept up into the doing and the worry of life. All we need to do is take a look around us at the state of our world and the shadowy fears will do their darndest to take hold. Protecting, nurturing, and shining our own inner light is how we collectively shine away the darkness.
Later last year, "Ask and you shall receive" arrived as a recurring theme for me. I have been amazed by how seldom we remember to ask for what we need, especially when it comes to guidance. I don't know about you, but sometimes when I get muddled up about my next best steps, I completely forget to simply ask for guidance. The answers we seek are available to us, especially when we remember to ask and get quiet enough to listen for the answer. The answers can come from anywhere: internally, friends, music, books, a rock...Yes, a rock.
I was taking a brief walk last week and was suddenly stopped in my tracks by an internal message, "Stop. Look at those rocks for the heart shaped one." The message startled me because it was so sudden and clear. So, I stopped. I looked to my right where there were a lot of large rocks. This didn't seem right to me, so I looked to the left, and amongst the gravel in the grass, I spotted a lovely heart shaped rock! What was the meaning of the message and where did it come from? What even was the question? I really don't know because I was so startled by the message that I have no recollection of what I was even thinking about when it arrived. It makes me giggle to think that it may be as simple and profoundly helpful as the childhood safety lesson, "Stop, look, and listen" or, maybe in this case, "Listen, stop, and look."
